sustainability myths vs facts

1. Myth: "Sustainability is too expensive"
  •   Fact: It's a misconception that sustainability always costs more. Many eco-friendly practices, like reducing energy use, recycling, and eating less meat, can save you money in the long run.

2. Myth: "Recycling solves all our waste problems."
  • Fact: While recycling is important, it’s not a complete solution. Reducing waste at the source and reusing items is just as crucial in minimizing environmental impact

3. Myth: "Plastic bags are the biggest environmental threat."

  • Fact: While plastic bags are harmful, other plastics—like packaging, microplastics, and single-use bottles—pose even greater long-term threats to ecosystems and wildlife.

4. Myth: "Electric cars are 100% green and don't have an environmental impact."

  • Fact: While electric cars produce fewer emissions than traditional vehicles, the production of the batteries and sourcing of materials can still have an environmental impact. However, they are much better for the environment than conventional cars in the long run.
